GDU Soccer Program
Players in 3rd through 12th grade this fall are invited to play with the Glacial Drumlin United (GDU) soccer club. GDU has recreational and limited number of competitive teams. GDU will have separate girls and boys teams that play within the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association (MAYSA). Approximately 400 soccer clubs are in MAYSA with over 13,000 players participating. GDU is a member of MAYSA and Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) that welcomes players from Cambridge, Cottage Grove, Deerfield, Edgerton, Lake Mills, Marshall and Waterloo. GDU is sponsoring twenty teams for the fall 2013 season.
Register now for Spring 2014 soccer
To enroll in the spring 2014 program, all registrations must be submitted online. Use the "Register Now" link to the right.
Fees are $80 for half a season for recreational players, and $130 for full season (fall and spring) for recreational players and half season high school competitive teams. Fees are used to pay the MAYSA team fee, for practice balls and equipment, referee fees, field maintenance and insurance. Additional funds are generated through donations.
Where We Play:
Home games are conducted at the Glacial Drumlin United Soccer Park and other community fields. The GDU Soccer Park fields are located at the intersection of Hwy. BB and Krueger Rd., 3 miles northeast of Deerfield and other area fields in surrounding communities. Away games will take place against other teams in the greater Madison area.
Coaches are needed for the youth teams. Please indicate on the registration form if a parent is interested in coaching.
For U9 through U14, we will be using a new jersey. However, you may use uniforms from 2012-13 season, as they are similar.
If you are new U9 through U14 player or need a larger size, you will need to order a uniform through Stefans Soccer. Enter #99 and update at a later time (after child is placed on a team and coach provides number assignment). Click on ORDER CLUB UNIFORM icon on top right corner to order a new jersey. Go to the Glacial Drumlin United page. You only need to order jersey, shorts and socks for the uniform.
Players provide their own shin guards and soccer cleats or athletic shoes; baseball cleats are not allowed. Shin guards are mandatory and players must wear soccer socks over their shin guards.
For questions or further information, contact Glacial Drumlin United.
